Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) pkg. navy beans
    ham bone or pieces of ham
    1 onion, chopped
    3 to 4 stalks celery, diced
    6 carrots, grated or chopped
    1 can tomato soup
    salt and pepper to taste
    4 qt. water (to start)
Preparation
    Wash beans and soak overnight.
    Put beans in large pot; add water and cook about 1 hour.
    Add ham, onion, celery, carrots and soup; salt and pepper to taste.
    Add more water if necessary. Continue cooking until beans are tender.
