Fruit Cocktail Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 can fruit cocktail, well drained
    1/4 tsp. almond extract
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon (optional)
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. nuts
    whipped topping
Preparation
    Mix sugar, flour, soda
    and salt.
    Add egg, vanilla and almond extracts.
    Mix all
    together.
    Add fruit cocktail.
    Put in greased 8 x 8-inch pan.
    Top
    with
    1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup nuts. Sprinkle cinnamon
    over
    top.
    Bake
    1
    hour at 350\u00b0.
    Serve with whipped topping.
    Serves 9 to 10.
