Persimmon Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. persimmon puree *
    2 eggs, beaten
    2 c. sifted flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar together; add the persimmon puree and eggs.
    Sift dry ingredients and add to the persimmon mixture. Beat well.
    Pour into a greased baking pan and bake at 350\u00b0 about 1 hour.
