Jeanetta'S Apple Pandowdy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. thinly sliced apples
    3/4 c. apple cider
    3/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    2 oz. butter
    1 lb. all-purpose flour
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    3/4 c. shortening
    3 beaten eggs
    milk (enough to make biscuit dough consistency)
Preparation
    Fill a deep ovenproof dish with 8 cups thinly sliced apples. Sprinkle with apple cider, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, brown sugar and butter.
