Ingredients

6 tsp. cocoa
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar substitute
2 eggs
3/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation

Mix cocoa, melted shortening, sugar and eggs together.
Stir in flour, baking powder and salt.
Mix well.
Add nuts and mix. Spread in well-greased 8-inch square pan.
Bake until top has dull crust, a slight imprint will be left when top is lightly touched with finger.
Cool slightly, then cut into squares.
Temperature: 350\u00b0.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
