Cucumber Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 medium cucumbers
    8 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. mixed pickling spices
    4 c. vinegar
    5 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cover whole cukes with boiling water and allow to stand until the next morning.
    Drain and repeat the procedure for the next 3 mornings.
    On the fifth day, drain and cut cukes into 1/2-inch pieces.
