Oatmeal Crisps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. oil
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. granulated sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    3 c. rolled oats
    1/2 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Thoroughly cream shortening and sugars.
    Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well.
    Sift flour, salt and soda.
    Add to creamed mixture. Stir in rolled oats and nuts.
    Mix.
    Spoon onto ungreased cookie sheets (1 tablespoon of dough).
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes or until lightly brown.
    Makes 5 dozen.
