Herbed New Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 small new potatoes
    4 tsp. butter
    4 tsp. minced fresh parsley or 1 1/3 tsp. dried parsley
    4 tsp. minced fresh chives or 1 1/3 tsp. dried chives
    1 pkg. onion soup mix
Preparation
    Peel 1/2 inch strip around the center of each potato and place in a medium saucepan of cold water. Add enough additional water to the pan to cover the potatoes by 2 inches. Bring to a boil over medium -high heat. Boil until the potatoes are tender, drain. Cover to keep warm. Melt butter and stir in parsley, chives and onion soup mix. Mix well. Pour the butter mixture over potatoes and toss to coat. Sprinkle parsley for garnish if desired. Serve immediately.
