Speedy Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. margarine, softened
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. sifted flour
    1 c. rolled oats
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream brown sugar and margarine with electric mixer.
    Add egg and beat well.
    Add soda, baking powder, salt and vanilla; beat until smooth.
    Add flour, oats and nuts; mix well with wooden spoon.
    Drop from teaspoon onto greased baking sheet.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 10 to 12 minutes until lightly brown.
    Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly on baking sheet.
    Then remove with pancake turner and place cookies on wire cooling rack.
