Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 stick butter
1/4 tsp. salt
3 c. quick oats
1 c. coconut (optional)
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation

Combine sugar, cocoa, milk, butter and salt in a saucepan. Cook to softball stage.
Remove from heat.
Add oats, coconut, vanilla and nuts.
Mix well.
Drop from teaspoon onto wax paper. Cool.
