Thai Yellow Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. basmati rice (white)
    1 tsp. salt
    3 1/2 c. water
    12 oz. coconut milk
    2 curry leaves, lime leaves or bay leaves
    1/4 tsp. ginger powder
    1 tsp. turmeric
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cook rice for 30 minutes in water with salt.
    Combine and bring to a boil next 5 ingredients and add to rice pot.
    Bring back to a boil, then simmer for 30 minutes uncovered.
