Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box yellow cake mix
    2 small boxes instant vanilla pudding
    2 cans cherry pie filling
    2 small cans crushed pineapple, drained
    2 (8 oz.) cartons Cool Whip
    2 1/2 c. pecan pieces or small pkg.
Preparation
    1st Layer:
    Bake cake mix in round layer pans.
    Cool.
    Tear one layer in chunks and put in punch bowl.
