Ingredients

1 1/2 c. self-rising cornmeal
2 Tbsp. oil
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 to 1 c. water
Preparation

Grease a cold, large cast-iron skillet.
Mix all ingredients, except water.
If batter will not run off spoon, add water until it does.
Pour in skillet.
Bake at 450\u00b0 until brown.
