Hearty Beef Chili(Serves 4) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    2 large cans tomatoes (undrained)
    2 medium cans kidney beans (undrained)
    1 medium can tomato paste
    1 large green pepper, chopped
    1 1/2 Tbsp. chili powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. minced onion
    hamburg
    onion, chopped
    potatoes, diced
    celery, diced
    cornstarch
    frozen peas and carrots (1 pkg.)
Preparation
    Scramble hamburg and onion in skillet.
    Drain and reserve. Cook potatoes and celery until tender.
    Strain, reserving water. Thicken water with cornstarch to keep veggies moist while baking. Put potatoes and celery in baking pan; add package peas and carrots.
    Top with hamburg and pour thickened juice over all ingredients. Top with baking powder biscuits (I use Bisquick) and bake until biscuits are done.
