Peanut Pattie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. milk
    2/3 c. white Karo
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 c. peanuts
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    red cake coloring
Preparation
    Bring first 5 ingredients to a boil.
    Simmer for 70 minutes or until mixture forms soft ball when dropped in cold water.
    Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla and a few drops of cake coloring.
    Beat until creamy.
    Pour into greased muffin tins.
