Danish Puff Pastry - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. soft butter
    1 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. water
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. boiling water
    1 c. flour
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. almond extract
Preparation
    Mix the 1/2 cup soft butter, 1 cup flour and 2 tablespoons water.
    Spread this mixture on cookie sheet in 2 equal parts, about 3 x 10-inch each.
    Mix 1/2 cup butter and 1 cup boiling water and boil together.
    Add 1 cup flour; mix well.
    Add the eggs, one at a time; mix well.
    Add the almond extract.
    Divide this mixture in half; spread across first layer.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 60 minutes. Frost with powdered sugar frosting when slightly cooled.
    (I add a little almond extract to frosting, also.)
    Top with chopped nuts, if desired.
