Crisp Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 1/3 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    3 eggs, well beaten
    1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Sift the first 5 ingredients together; set aside. Cream the butter until softened. Add the sugar gradually, creaming until fluffy. Add the eggs in thirds, beating well after each addition. Alternately add the dry ingredients in fourths and the milk in thirds to the creamed mixture, mixing until blended after each addition.
    Chill dough for several hours.
