Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. self-rising meal
1/2 c. self-rising flour
1 small can creamed corn
1 egg, beaten
1 small grated onion
pinch of salt
pinch of soda

Preparation

Mix meal and flour.
Add corn and egg.
Stir in onion, salt and soda.
Drop by teaspoon into deep fryer.
Fry until puppies rise to top of pot and golden brown.
If batter is too thin, add a bit more meal.
