Ingredients

1 c. persimmon puree
1 tsp. soda
1 c. butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon juice
2 Tbsp. brandy or orange juice
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
3/4 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Mix thoroughly the persimmon and soda; let stand while creaming together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in egg, vanilla, lemon juice and brandy, then add persimmon and mix until blended.
