Coffee Pot Roast - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 to 4 lb. beef (boneless chuck or bottom round)
juice of 1 lemon
salt and pepper
1 large onion, cut up
1 clove garlic, cut into pieces
2 c. black coffee
1/2 tsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. vinegar
dash of Tabasco sauce
bacon fat
Preparation

Place meat in bowl with lemon juice, salt, pepper, onion and garlic pieces (some of which have been inserted into meat). Marinate overnight.
Brown meat well in bacon fat.
Transfer to heavy skillet.
Pour coffee over meat in pan where meat was browned.
Add rest of seasonings and simmer until tender.
Thicken gravy with cornstarch.
