Pinto Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small bag dried pinto beans
    1 Tbsp. salt
    16 oz. can chopped tomatoes
    4.5 oz. can green chilies
    1/2 onion, chopped
    1 ham hock
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    2 tsp. chili powder
Preparation
    Soak dry beans overnight by covering with 2-inches of water and 1 tablespoon salt.
    Drain beans.
    Fill to 2-inches above beans with fresh water and bring to a rapid boil.
    Drain again and put in crock-pot.
    Cover with 1-inch of water and add remaining ingredients.
    Cook 1 hour on high.
    Cook 12 to 14 hours on low.
