Chinese Pepper Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. round steak, cut into strips
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 to 2 Tbsp. corn oil
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 c. water
1 to 2 beef bouillon cubes (optional)
1 red or green pepper, cut in strips
1 onion, cut in strips
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 Tbsp. soy sauce (may add more to taste)
Preparation

Brown steak in oil.
Add other ingredients.
Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
Add onion and pepper; simmer 5 to 10 minutes.
Blend in cornstarch with a little water.
Add to mixture with soy sauce. Serve over hot rice.
