Corn Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 egg, beaten
    3/4 c. milk
    1 c. drained whole kernel corn
    1 Tbsp. butter, melted
    shortening
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt together in mixing bowl. Combine egg, milk, corn and butter; stir into flour mixture.
    Drop batter by spoonfuls into 1-inch hot shortening in skillet.
    Fry for 4 to 5 minutes or until golden brown, turning once.
    Makes 8 fritters.
