Picaddillo(A Favorite In Miami'S Cuban Restaurants) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef
    4 Tbsp. olive oil
    2 medium onions, chopped
    2 green peppers, chopped
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1/4 tsp. dried oregano leaves
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 (5 oz.) jar stuffed olives, drained and sliced
    1 (3 oz.) jar capers, drained
    1 c. seedless raisins
    1/2 c. red wine or sherry (optional)
Preparation
    In a large casserole, cook beef in olive oil until browned. Add onion, green pepper and garlic.
    Cook until tender.
    Add the remaining ingredients, except wine and cook over low heat for 1 hour.
    Add wine and serve over yellow rice.
    Flavor improves if stored in the refrigerator overnight.
    Add a small amount of water to thin out slightly, if necessary.
    Serves 8.
