Lime Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. cucumbers, sliced or chunked
    1 gal. water
    1 1/2 c. lime
    6 c. sugar
    1 qt. cider vinegar
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    1 Tbsp. whole cloves
    1/2 box mixed pickling spices
Preparation
    Combine sugar, vinegar and salt.
    Place spices in a cheesecloth bag.
    Heat mixture to make a syrup.
    Soak cucumbers in syrup overnight.
