Oatmeal Crispies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. shortening
2 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
3 c. rolled oats
1 c. shredded coconut
Preparation

Cream shortening until fluffy.
Add brown sugar gradually. Add eggs and vanilla, beating well.
Sift flour with salt and soda and add to creamed mixture.
Stir in rolled oats and coconut. Form into two 2-inch rolls and chill thoroughly.
Cut in 1/4-inch slices and place on greased baking sheet.
Bake in 350\u00b0
oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
Makes 5 to 6 dozen.
