Ingredients

1 c. vinegar
1 c. water
1/2 c. sugar
6 whole cloves
12 whole allspice
2 cans sliced beets
Preparation

Bring first 5 ingredients to a boil and boil them together about 1 minute.
Add the beets from both cans but only add the liquid from one can.
Bring these ingredients to a boil and boil together for about 5 minutes.
Cool and refrigerate.
These should be made one or two day's prior to being served.
