Ingredients

1 lb. sweet butter
2 Tbsp. Crisco
2 1/2 c. sugar
5 large eggs
2 Tbsp. vanilla
1 c. light cream
5 tsp. baking powder
approximately 12 to 13 c. flour
Preparation

Cream butter and Crisco with sugar.
Add eggs one at a time, mixing well with each addition.
Mix in vanilla and cream; mix well.
Stir in baking powder.
Stir in flour a little at a time until a dough forms.
It should not be too dry or too sticky. Take small amounts of dough and roll with hands to form an \"S\". Place on lightly greased baking sheets.
Bake in a preheated 350\u00b0 oven for about 13 minutes, until light golden color and firm to touch.
Depending on size, can make 150 to 240 cookies.
Once baked, they freeze well for approximately 6 months.
