Gingerbread Muffins - cooking recipe

1/2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. unbleached flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 tsp. ginger
1 c. walnuts, chopped (optional)
1 egg
1 c. molasses
1 c. buttermilk
1 stick unsalted butter, melted
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. Combine sugar, flour, baking soda, spices and walnuts in a bowl. In a large
bowl, mix egg, molasses, buttermilk and melted butter. Add dry ingredients and stir until blended. Spoon into greased muffin tins and bake for 20 minutes, until done.
