Stone Soup(Without The Stones) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 piece chuck, browned (preferably with bone)
    1 onion, chopped fine
    1 tsp. parsley, chopped fine
    1 stick celery, chopped fine
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 qt. water
    1/8 c. dried rice
    1/8 c. dried peas
    1/8 c. dried beans
    1 c. diced carrots
    1 c. diced potatoes
    1 c. chopped cabbage
    1 can tomato soup
Preparation
    Bring the first 6 ingredients to a boil, then simmer 1/2 hour. Add rice, peas and beans; simmer for 1/2 hour.
    Add carrots, potatoes and cabbage.
    Bring to a boil.
    Simmer 1 1/2 hours.
    Add salt and pepper to taste.
    Add tomato soup and simmer 15 minutes.
