Hawaiian Dream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yellow cake mix
    1 can crushed pineapple (1 lb. 4 oz.)
    1 pkg. instant vanilla pudding
    1 c. milk
    1 bag coconut (if desired)
    1 (9 oz.) Cool Whip
    1 c. walnuts (if desired)
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
Preparation
    Follow directions on box for cake, substituting pineapple juice (strain crushed pineapple) and add water to make 1 1/2 cups liquid.
    Bake in a 9 x 12-inch pan at 350\u00b0 for approximately 30 minutes or until done. Cut cake in two layers (horizontally). Blend cream cheese (room temperature), instant vanilla pudding and milk.
    Fold in crushed pineapple and mix well.
    Place half the pineapple mixture in between layers and remainder on top. Top with Cool Whip and sprinkle with coconut and chopped walnuts. Refrigerate until needed. Cake also freezes well.
