Spanish Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs, separated
    1/2 c. milk
    1 3/4 c. cake flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    pinch salt
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add well beaten egg yolks.
    Sift and measure flour, add baking powder, cinnamon and salt and sift three or four times.
    Add milk alternately with dry ingredients and beat well.
    Fold in beaten egg whites, pour in a baking pan and bake for twenty minutes in a moderate oven.
    Let cool and spread with brown sugar frosting.
