Taralli (Italian Bread Sticks) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 eggs
4 c. flour
1/2 c. oil
1 c. warm water
1 large pan of boiling water
1 tsp. salt
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. fennel seed
1 tsp. sugar
3 tsp. pepper
Preparation

Mix eggs, oil, salt, fennel and pepper.
Dissolve sugar in water and also the yeast.
Add this and flour to egg mixture.
Work dough until you can work with your hands.
Form into sticks.
You then have to boil them until they float to the top of the water. Put bread sticks right on racks to bake.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
Switch level of racks.
Bake 15 minutes longer.
