Favorite Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1/3 c. cocoa
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. flour
1/2 Tbsp. baking powder
1/4 Tbsp. salt
1/2 c. nuts (optional)
Cream Cheese Filling (recipe follows)
Brownie Frosting (recipe follows)

Preparation

Melt butter in small saucepan. Remove from heat and stir in cocoa. Beat eggs in small mixer bowl until foamy. Gradually add sugar and vanilla; blend well. Stir in flour, baking powder and salt. Add chocolate mixture and nuts. Spread 1/2 the chocolate batter into greased 9-inch square pan. Spread cream cheese filling on top of chocolate layer. Drop spoonfuls of remaining filling over cream cheese and use a knife or spatula to swirl the two together. Bake 40 to 50 minutes at 350\u00b0. Cool completely.
