Granny'S Sunflower White Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. Sunflower self-rising flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. Crisco
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. milk
    4 egg whites
Preparation
    Mix flour, sugar and shortening together.
    Add vanilla and milk; beat vigorously 200 strokes or two minutes, scraping bowl frequently.
    Add egg whites and continue beating two more minutes, scraping bowl often.
    Batter will be thin.
    Bake in 2 (8-inch) greased and floured cake pans at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
    Cover with favorite icing and enjoy.
