Western Sandwiches - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 slices bread or toast
    margarine or butter, softened
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 small onion, chopped
    1/2 small green bell pepper, chopped
    4 eggs
    1/2 c. chopped, fully cooked smoked ham
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Spread bread with margarine.
    Heat shortening in 10-inch skillet over medium heat until hot.
    Cook and stir onion and bell pepper in shortening about 5 minutes or until onion is tender. Beat eggs slightly in medium bowl with fork or hand beater.
    Stir in ham, salt and pepper.
