Ice Box Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg
    1 3/4 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation
    Cream butter, sugar, vanilla and egg together.
    Add dry ingredients and nuts that have been mixed together and blend well. Roll dough into a roll about 2 1/2 to 3 inches in diameter. Wrap in plastic wrap.
    Chill in refrigerator until firm.
    Slice into round cookies about 1/4 inch thick.
    Bake on cookie sheet in 400\u00b0 oven until lightly browned about 7 to 10 minutes.
    These cookies are crispy.
