Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. shortening
1 c. corn meal
1 c. all-purpose flour
2 to 4 Tbsp. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk or buttermilk
1 egg, beaten
2 Tbsp. honey
Preparation

Heat oven to 375\u00b0 to 400\u00b0.
In skillet or pan, heat shortening; tilt pan to coat skillet and on sides.
Combine dry ingredients.
Add milk, shortening and egg; mix until blended. Pour into hot pan.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 9 to 10 servings.
