Maple Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. maple syrup
    1 c. dairy sour cream
    1 egg, well beaten
    2 1/3 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. salt
    4 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine
Preparation
    Blend syrup with cream and egg.
    Sift dry ingredients and stir into syrup mixture.
    Add butter.
    Pour into 8 x 12-inch baking pan, lined with greased brown paper.
    Bake in moderate oven, 350\u00b0, for 30 minutes.
    Makes 8 servings.
