Jalapeno Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    16 c. tomatoes, chopped (may use canned or frozen; a No. 10 can of tomatoes will make about 8 pt.)
    4 c. onions, chopped
    2 1/2 c. jalapenos, chopped
    1/4 c. vinegar
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. black pepper
    salt to taste
    garlic powder to taste
Preparation
    Mix together all ingredients and cook, uncovered, for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
    (The amount of jalapenos may be varied to taste.)
    Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
    Pour into hot jars and water bath 35 minutes.
    Makes 8 to 10 pints.
