Lime Cucumber Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 gal. sliced cucumbers (any size)
    3 gal. water
    3 c. hydrated lime
    1/2 gal. vinegar
    4 lb. sugar
    2 Tbsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. whole cloves
    1 Tbsp. mixed pickling spices
    1 tsp. celery seed
Preparation
    In a 5 gallon stone churn or larger, put 3 gallons water and 3 cups lime (hydrated).
    Stir.
    Slice cucumbers 1/4-inch thick.
    Put in the lime water.
    Let set 24 hours and wash through 3 waters and cover with water and let stand overnight.
