Peach Bavarian - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. peaches, drained and chopped (reserve 2/3 c. syrup)
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. lemon jello
    1/2 c. sugar
    dash of salt
    2 c. boiling water
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
    1 large container Cool Whip or 2 envelopes Dream Whip
Preparation
    Dissolve jello, sugar and salt in boiling water.
    Add 2/3 cup of peach syrup.
    Chill until slightly thickened.
    Blend almond extract into whipped topping.
    Gently blend into gelatin; add peaches.
    Pour into large casserole dish (9 x 13 inches).
    Chill until firm.
