Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 egg, well beaten
1 c. oil
1 c. old fashioned oats
1 c. corn flakes
1 c. coconut
1 c. finely chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
3 1/3 c. plain flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream first 3 ingredients together until light and fluffy. Add egg and oil and mix well. Add oats, corn flakes, coconut, pecans and vanilla and mix well. Sift flour, soda and salt and add to other mixture. Mix well. Mix all together well and shape into balls the size of a walnut. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Dip a fork into melted butter and then into sugar to flatten balls. This is important because it makes the top of cookies crispy. Bake 12 minutes at 325\u00b0. Leave on cookie sheet to cool slightly before removing. Yield: 5 dozen.
