Sweet Potato Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 c. sweet potatoes
2 c. flour
5 tsp. cocoa
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar in a mixing bowl.
Add eggs.
Add sweet potatoes.
Sift dry ingredients together; add to creamed mixture, alternating with milk.
Add vanilla and nuts.
Pour into three greased and floured cake pans.
(Note:
Can line pans with wax paper.) Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes or until cake tests done.
Cool and ice with Fluffy Egg White Icing.
