Sugarless Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 yellow apples, chopped
    2 Tbsp. artificial sweetener
    2/3 c. water
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 c. raisins, cut up
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1 egg, beaten
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. maple
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Combine first seven ingredients; boil 3 minutes and cool.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Bake in a greased and floured 9 x 9-inch pan at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
    Cut in bars when cool.
