Banana Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. cake flour
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. shortening
2 eggs
2/3 c. chopped nuts
1 2/3 c. white sugar
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 1/4 c. mashed bananas
2/3 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Mix dry ingredients in small bowl; set aside (except sugar). Cream shortening and sugar.
Add eggs and mashed bananas until mixed, then add buttermilk, dry ingredients and nutmeats.
Beat until well mixed; pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 until inserted toothpick comes out dry.
Top with favorite frosting (my family likes it with peanut butter).
