Mapley Nut Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 c. flour
1/4 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 egg
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 c. Log Cabin or Log Cabin lite syrup
2 Tbsp. butter, melted
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Mix flour and granulated sugar in a bowl. Cut in 1/2 cup butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press into bottom of a greased 9-inch square baking pan.
Bake 15 minutes or until very lightly browned.
Beat egg, brown sugar, syrup, melted butter and vanilla in a bowl until well blended. Stir in nuts.
Spread evenly over warm crust.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until topping is firm around edges but slightly soft in middle.
Cool in pan.
Cut into bars.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired.
