Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box German chocolate cake mix
    14 oz. bag vanilla caramels
    3/4 c. butter
    1/2 c. Pet milk
    1 c. chocolate chips
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Mix cake according to directions. Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Pour half of the butter into pan.
    Bake 15 minutes.
    In a saucepan, melt caramels, butter and milk over low heat until caramels are melted.
    Pour caramel mixture over baked cake.
    Top with chocolate chips and pecans. Pour remaining cake batter over this mixture and return to oven and bake for 20 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Cool completely before cutting.
