Jew Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    3 eggs
    1 1/4 c. chopped pitted dates
    1 tsp. vanilla
    icing (xxx sugar)
Preparation
    Beat eggs; add sugar.
    Add flour and remaining ingredients (except xxx sugar).
    Spread thinly on greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 18 minutes.
    Sprinkle with powdered sugar while hot. When cooled, cut in squares.
    These easy to make bars are light and delicious.
