Blue Ribbon Lime Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. lime
    2 gal. water
    9 c. sugar
    1 tsp. pickling spice
    1 gal. cucumbers, sliced
    7 c. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. canning salt
Preparation
    Dissolve lime in water. Add cucumber slices and let stand, weighted for 24 hours. Drain off excess water and wash 3 times. Return to jar or bucket and add cold water. Let stand 3 hours.
